I purchased two new frag racks just for this event. I'm also excited about Unique Corals, they are about the only online vendor I will order from.
Just found out I might have to work Saturday! I'm not totally sure yet but the job is behind schedule and they are worried that the holiday is going to push it back further. I was really looking forward to it.
I have shared it on Arkansas Saltwater Hobbyist, Arkansas Saltwater Enthusiast, NEA Reef Keepers, Arkansas Reef and Marine Garage sale and a few other Facebook pages. John
If the frag workshop wasn't enough, Jack has some awesome deals for us too at The Fish Bowl. I'm planning on picking up some coral and maybe a few fish tomorrow. John
Thank you to everyone who came out. The event was awesome. Make sure you dip your coral and let's hope they all do well. A few years ago we had a gorgeous purple chalice and I think everyone lost theirs. It happens. I hope you all had fun and hopefully you learned something. Also, If you bought one of my corals I stand behind them. If there is an issue with it just let me know and I will replace it with the same thing or something similar if I don't have a replacement. John
It was great seeing everyone today. I have updated membership for everyone except 5 new members. I'll add them once they register on the site. Please let me know if I missed you.
Had a great time today. The turnout was great, and I enjoyed meeting all the new faces. Once everything gets settled in my tanks, I'll post some photos of what all I got.
Many thanks to all of you who came today! Had a great time meeting so many new faces. Thanks to every one who worked so hard to make this happen, especially to Jack and The Fish Bowl for hosting us! I hate I don't have my QT set up right now. There were some very cool fish there today!
During my coral dip I kept a watch for anything interesting or scary (to save or cringe over). I noticed something swimming about in the manner of a shrimp, so I quickly scooped it out with the lid of one of the coral containers. It immediately started threatening me with popping noises. My first thought was to try to save him from the effects of Revive, so I foolishly dropped him into my main tank... I have a tiny pistol shrimp in my tank now. I have no idea the type, except that he's no longer than my fingernail and grey and white. I expect a worse case of one of the largest, a tiger. >.> But hey, free pistol shrimp right? Anyone think he'll murder my Randall's pistol?
