The wave action is generated by a Tunze wave box 6208.

 

Corey that tank is looking awesome. Glad that you posted this. I think my favorite is that torch coral. The flow makes it look so hypnotic.

Really?! I’ve never seen acans stand up like that before. They almost look like tubes ... huh ... interesting.

They are in a low light area of the tank so they are reaching (trumpeting) towards the light.

So I’m loving the wave motion ... does the box take up a lot of room? Noisy? Do you use other pumps with it?

I think I could do similar with a second gyre but I’m just not loving the movement in my tank right now.

Sweet! Thanks Allan. Yes, I had the wave box out for a month or two because the magnets in the tank started rusting. Tunze replaced them with new sealed ones.

 

Yes it does take up some room and makes a little noise. I have mine running at the second too highest level and positioned in the back right corner so it's not so obtrusive. Here's a video to give you some idea of size and noise level. I also run three VorTech MP 40's .
