Finally pulled the trigger on a 1" frag but it's from Vivid Aquariums so they're almost always bigger than that which is cool. Anyone here have one and any tips other than low-med light, low-med flow and room for sweeper tentacles? Thanks!

That about sums up what I've heard. I've admired this coral from afar for a long time. I'm really looking forward to seeing your experiences with it. Hope you document the journey with pictures here. I've thought about it for a while.

Looks like it's happy! Is that a Rainsford Goby in the most recent picture?

Sorry, Doc! For some reason these email notifications go to my junk mail.

Yes! One of my fav Gobys besides mandarins. He has a very strange and close relationship with my carpenter’s flasher wrasse super male.

They are a bit of a sand-sifter, which can be irritating on sand bed corals. Oh well. He’s pretty cool.

I tried a couple of times to keep one and failed both times. What does yours eat?

Small pellets and GHA if any is available. They’ll also pick at nori.

Well, looks about the same so far. Maybe bigger eyes.
I still haven’t seen any sweepers yet. It looks happy though. @huntindoc

After fixing some issues with po3 due to Red Sea Coral Nutrition +, it’s finally fattening up and seems to have grown a bit. I still haven’t seen sweepers so guess it is still a bit irritated from the nutrient spike. I’ll post before RS CN+ and after I started running rowaphos.

Looks great! The only time I've seen the sweepers was at night..usually after lights out.

I can’t wait for it to grow to a position where I can feed it more. I think that’s what will help it out.
