Hiya, Trevor, yes, I still have one of my cuccumbers for sale. I"m asking $10 for it. Just need some notice since sometimes I have to tear down the tank to get to them. They only come out at night. Sometimes I see them out early in the morning. Allen, I only run my lights about 9 hours....2-11. No algea issues. Kim/Benton, AR
Not yet. I'm on my 13 hour day rotation at work. I've got vacation starting Sunday, and I'm going to try and check it then. I'm sure my lighting schedule and probably feeding is what is causing it. I have been dosing acropower, but I've cut the dose way down.
Have you received your Reefcleaners order yet if so let's see some pictures of those Rock flower anemone
I shouod get them Tuesday. They had two different kinds, common and premium. Mine are common. Ive never tried to keep them, but if i like them, i might try to find some really cool ones.
I'd like to see one of the premiums. If they are colorful that's a VERY good price at $30! I love mine. Super easy to care for and they do not move once in place. They can be put close together if you have multiples.
They should be here today. They were sent out Monday. The only thing I don't like about Reef Cleaners is that they use the USPS. So even though you pay $30 for overnight shipping, it still takes 2 days to get to you. While we are waiting, I started fragging some of my palys and zoas for the first time yesterday. So maybe I'll be able to get things like my Helm's Deep palys into some of your tanks.
Ok I got my order in. I wasn't too happy with it. The lettuce nudibranchs and sea cucumber were dead. The rock flowers are very common-- solid white. The ricordea I got was nice though. Still waiting to see if this mushroom will open up. It's a blue Saint Thomas. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again. I do like their dry rock though. That would be the exception.
Yep I love their dry rock. 48 hour ship time is not something I would ever want to do. Don't understand that. Thanks for the heads up. I wonder when they changed their shipping strategy? I've ordered clean up crew from them before and it was shipped over night. White/bleached is the stressed color for most nemes. If he makes it he may be a lot more colorful when he recovers.
Kim, I'm sorry I haven't checked in this thread in a while. For summer reason I thought you said your cucumber died? I'd love to buy it from you of that's okay. Please let me know.
$30 for 2 day shipping isn't worth it. Maybe it is stressed, but it seems to be opened normal, and attached to my rock. The other one is white with some green. I'll keep you all updated if they change color.
I ordered some clean up crews from reef cleaners a couple of weeks ago and got overnight simply because I had an emerald crab with the order. Wonder why yours was different.
I am not sure. It could be because I live in Batesville? I know that now even if you're sending local mail, it goes all the way to Little Rock, and then back to Batesville. And I just looked at my shipping to double check-- it was $35. Never doing that again!
Yeah, I don't blame you. The owner, John, usually makes things right. Did he at least refund you for dead on arrivals? Hate that you lost livestock, especially after losing the original sea hare.
I sent a request, so hopefully. I'm not trying to bad mouth the company, it just seems like I haven't had a good experience other than rock with them. I did get some chaeto in with this order. Is it safe to light my sump with this? Water and electricity make me nervous.
Real opinions of online vendors it what forums are for. I wish we'd get more feedback, myself. I have horrible experiences with Reefs2Go (now Aquarium Depot) and will not purchase from them again. I've seen a lot of folks post photos of using that light in other forums, but don't haven any experience myself.
He did just email and say he is refunding me. Back to square one with my algae issues. Maybe the chaeto will help some. I may have to try the method where you raise the magnesium up to like 1600. But there is no way I can manually remove it all.
The elevated Mg is just for bryopsis not hair algae. Did you ever get around to checking your PO4 and NO3?
Not yet. I'm on vacation though, so I will do it. I'm trying to get my house repainted before the holidays, so that's what I've been doing.
