bought the alk meter during the group but and it came in today. Fast and easy to use and seems very accurate. Highly recommend it.

I agree Michael. It's the best of the Hanna checkers and the only test I use for Alkalinity. I've found it very repeatable. My last 4 readings over 5 days have been 146, 143,143,143. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is the control solution is 100 ppm which translates to a dKh of 5.6. Not the range we test in. Still it's good that they even have a control available.

I bought the one that shows reading in dkh. I need to run 3-4 test in a row to see how consistent it is. I ran one last night when I got it and it was right in line with the Salifert test. I may pick one of these up for checking calcium as well.

Reviews for the calcium are not good. check it out before you buy. I do like the ULR phosphate though.

When you do your next test will you please take a picture of how much alkalinity reagent you have in your syringe and tip

You just pull the plunger to the last mark on the syringe. There won't be any reagent in the syringe .

Thank you, I did a bunch of Googling and watch some YouTube videos but no one actually showed where to stop the plunger
