Not getting rid of the 75 planning on plumbing both tanks to one sump when everything is completed. Wish me luck lol

I lasted about 3 months before I put anything in my 180. Just a lot of bacteria and shrimp!

Did you go and pick that sump up in Colorado or did Jeff ship it? He makes some very nice sumps. How do you like the ventury skimmer?

No he shipped it to me. Been dialing it in but so far I like it. I will say it is built like a beast don’t think ive ever seen one built this tough. Should last a lifetime

Yeah those sumps he builds are really solid. I love mine. I ended driving out there to pick it up. The shipping was so much I figured instead of paying all that money for shipping why not make a mini vacation out of it. Yours looks great. I would love to check it out sometime. Everything is looking really nice!

Yeah thank you, that sounds great! What area are you located? I had him build me a custom sump to my exact specifications for what I was trying to accomplish. There are pictures of it in my build thread. I didnt get one of his skimmers because I already had a Nyos skimmer. Yours looks like it is pulling out a lot of stuff already! I definitely want to check it out and see that in action.

I just went threw your build thread looks good and I see you went with metal halide lights can’t go wrong there for sure. I see you running a calcium reactor also ive never ran one always two part dosed myself. Ive thought about trying one out one day if my demand on the two part gets to high.

Yeah I just couldn't justify spending 4k on radion or kessil led lighting that would create enough light and spread for my sps tank. With the annual cost of the bulbs and electricity bill it would take 7 years for those things to pay for themselves. Just seemed a bit unreasonable.
As far as calcium reactor goes I wouldnt ever use anything else. It makes it super easy and simple. I think if you got one you would never want to go back to dosing two part again. I am not sure where paragauld is but I will look it up and see how far it is. Definitely will touch base with you and plan a stop by. Your tank looks great! It's really great to see some more nice systems going up out here.
