2014 December Minutes Location: Norman Davis House, Conway, AR Attendees: Kim Ettleman (Secretary), Norman Davis(BoD), Jason Todd (Treasure), David Martin (BoD), Linda Hendrickson, Larry Adams, Jerry Anderson, Aaron Porterfield, Hunter Miater, Nikka Pettit, David Pittit, John Carroll and Alyssa Carroll Old Business: None New Business: 1. Shawn DaPrano appointed Kim Ettleman to Secretary position so a full quorum could meet at the December meeting. 2. Ballot for officer elections are posted on the forum for everyone to vote. It will be there for 21 days. Everyone is running unopposed. 3. Treasure Report: Beginning Balance 2014 - $3,789.59, Year End 2014 -$3,110.85. Club purchased a new saw in December, cost $339.00 4. Jason Todd proposed to keep the coral budget for 2015 the same. Kim Ettleman second, passed unanimously by the club. $200 per month and $500 for events. 5. It was decided to reduce the number of events to two after it was made known that Kevin at Paradise Pets would no longer be hosting one. BoD will get together with Chris at The Fish Tank and see if they would like to hold one in May. The Fish Bowl's event, which is normally in November, will be seen if it can be moved to October. 6. BoD will need to get together in January with Calvin to discuss website upkeep. 7. Need to renew MASNA membership and look into getting a grant to help pay for events. Also, the MASNA website link needs to be reinstalled. 8. Marine Aquarium of the Year nominations were made: David Martin and John Ledbetter. Poll is to be opened so voting can commence. Discussion on what the trophy should be. A picture was eliminated. Possibly a glass trophy or traditional one was discussed. 9. Also brought to vote was the photo contest and it's budget. It was voted to discontinue the contest unanimously. The December contest will be completed and a poll put up. 10. The reimbursement of $50 for food for the meetings was renewed for 2015. 11. Alyssa Carrol volunteered to take photo's for the club if no one was available to do so. Demonstration: Twelve folks participated in our annual Dirty Santa party. Frag Giveaway: Reverse Prism, a Poritus, and two other corals. Lunch was provided from Walmart in the form of Subs. Thanks to others for bringing sides and the home made deserts.
