Please note there have been some changes made to our meeting times and schedule.

    Club Business: 10:00am-11:00am*
    Presentation/demostration/discussion/fragging: 11:00am-12:00pm
    Lunch: Noon

*The club has voted to put the business needs in the hands of the BOD's, so the Club business should be more related to objectives instead of issues. We would hope with these changes you will see more beneficial meetings, geared toward the hobby. The BOD's will post to the forum for votes related to appropriations, web concerns, etc.

January's demostration will be building mesh covers for your tanks. We have two members who are going to bring the materials to build a mesh top for their tanks. So its the perfect time to discuss ways to protect your livestock. People will also get to see how this can be done with a simple trip to Home Depot.

If you have a project you are going to be working on please let David Pettis (reefjunky2) or myself know. Last year some of you remember going to Greg Eller's house and replacing his T5's with Ai Vega's and going to Norman Davis's house to help set up his frag systems. These were some of our best meetings because we we're all working and learning together. So let's see if we can get some more projects lined up for the coming year and have some fun.

The meeting coral budget was increased so we can provide our members a chance to try corals they might not buy for themselves; if there is something you want or simply don't want please let me know. Also we are seeing more trades and purchases from members at our meetings; we should encourage this when we are not at our LFS's as it gives more opportunities for members to acquire new additions for their tanks.

Please continue to support our local and eCommerce Sponsors, please make sure you let them know that you are an active member of RRMAS.

I look forward to serving you in 2014

Wow! That sounds great. I think it will make the club more attractive to new members if they don't have to sit through a boring business meeting. After all we all want to learn from each other and talk about our tanks!

I have a chop saw I can bring to cut the window frame material if it would help.

Thanks Doc, I think being able to make precise cuts would be a great improvement over the way we did it at last years demo. This was one of the demos that really helped people keep their pricey fish in the water and off the carpet.

I've also got some netting I ordered and a few extra pieces of window frame I'll bring in case we need it.
