Here is my nano cube that I am restarting after about 5 years of it being decommissioned. I will be replacing the stock lighting with a LED fixture next week when it comes in. Also, I will be redoing the wiring once I get the fixture in. I might end up moving the tank, but for right now that is where it will be.

I pick up this light on amazon. Looks promising and if not I will just return it.

I think I looked at that one ... curious to see how well it grows corals.

All of the reviews said that it did great. Since I am going to be using this on my nano I will have to put it at 20% intensity I guess. People on the reviews said that they never use full intensity on their 50 gallon tanks so it should be interesting.

Also it was only 120 bucks so its not a big deal.

Well, we are about two weeks in and I moved my tank. I purchased one of those cube organizers from a department store and set it up as a tank. It says that the max weight is 30 lbs, but I sat on top of it and it felt sturdy, but just as a safety net I went and bought hardware from Lowes to secure it even more and put my mind to ease. I will be getting in the new LED light Wednesday and will hang it from the ceiling. I'm excited, to say the least.

I have a 20 long on top of one I got from sams. The cubes are my son's toy boxes.

    Pics?

I will post a picture when I get home from work today as well as tomorrow when I get the lights mounted.

Here is the new location. I moved it here so that I would be able to enjoy the tank from the couch. It was on the kitchen bar and to enjoy it I would have to stand up and look at it (I know I'm lazy). I have a little hitchhiker Kenya tree that sprouted up a few days ago and has already grown a ton! I am so happy with this because when this tank was alive before it was hard to even get a Kenya tree to grow and now it is growing like a weed like it should. Also found a little brittle star that likes to show out sometimes. Lights go on tomorrow and cannot wait to see how they look.
Also added a bag of chemi pure today. I keep checking my water and it looks like we are a good way through the cycle. Probably another week with the way things are going.

Also I own a facebook page that has 855,000 likes on it that I just rebranded to be a Reefkeeping page. Go check it out! https://www.facebook.com/reefkeeping101/

You could also help me with some content if you would like. Suggest some things to post because the more activity the more I will be able to do with it.

It was just a bunch of random stuff that somehow got a ton of people to join it. I expect a lot of people to unlike the page, but even if only 100,000 stick around it will be well worth it! This is the page that I am working with Red Sea on and am talking with other companies about working together as well. Hopefully that means free stuff!

And as crazy as this sounds I just noticed my Kenya tree produced another Kenya. WHAA we aren't even through the cycle!

I got my lights!!! I had a doctors appointment yesterday (with honestly the best doctor I've ever had. I wont mention names. *cough* @huntindoc *cough* ) and before I went I was able to run home and see that UPS had not left the package at the door, but instead attempted to take it to a access point. After my doctors appointment I went to the store where it was supposed to be and just check. Right as I pulled up the UPS guy pulled in and I intercepted the package to take it home! I got lucky! I mounted them and still have so tweaking to do to make it all look uniform as I hate for things to look just thrown together, but here is what the lights look like over the tank. I also went and bought the velcrow 3m strips to keep it from swaying back and forth. Those worked well.

I am also thinking about putting together another tank! Possibly a 40 gallon. I went to Petco yesterday and they are having their dollar per gallon sale. I picked up a 20L and that may be my sump. I have to check and see if I can build a stand for a 40 gallon because I am the type of person who doesn't like to buy things that I can build.

Wow! That's just almost too much light for that tiny tank! I can see that working well for my 20 gallon! I wonder if there are other ways to mount though. I don't have a way to hang from above unless I build something.

As far as stands go, I'm actually working on building one myself. It's going to house my 20 and 10 gallon tanks to get them off of he floor and kitchen table! It is very simple in design and more for function than looks, but I'm sure it could be trimmed out. I actually found plans for several DIY stands online. I'm interested to follow along with your build if you decide to go that route! I'll post mine too.

It is a lot so when I build this 40 gallon I am going to move it to that tank and it should cover most of the tank until I decide to buy another one. Should be fun.

I have a thread going for my 40 gallon and am asking for help so go check it out if you will. I guess what will happen is that I will set up this tank and then tear down my nano cube.

The nano is cute ... I might like to have one some day but I'll have to get rid of many other tanks first!
