Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to introduce myself and the group I represent, Bayou Reekeeping. My name is Kirk, and I am a member of the board of directors of said organization. We are a Louisiana based forum and club, organized as an NPO with 501c3 filings, and a member of MASNA. On March 8, 2014, we plan to host our inaugural large scale event after having hosted two smaller anniversary events (as well as numerous local swaps) the last few years since we were founded. Our event is entitled "Fragniappe," with deference to the Cajun-French word Lagniappe, which is part of our heritage in this part of the country. Please check our web forum, www.bayoureefkeeping.com, as well as the event registration site, www.fragniappe.com for the most up to date information. Attached below will be our first informational brochure. If you are a livestock or dry goods vendor, and would like to participate by hosting a booth at the event, please register at www.fragniappe.com.

We plan to make this an ANNUAL event, and this year, it falls at the end of Mardi Gras week! So, if you've been wanting to come to New Orleans to party during Carnival season, here's your perfect excuse!
Thank you to Norman and the rest of the BoD of RazorBack Reef for permitting us to post this information.

Being a Yankee, I have no idea how to pronounce Fragniappe. Could you give a tutorial? What does the second half of the word mean?

I need to take you to New Orleans, it's derived from Lagniappe "something extra"

Yep, Greg is right, and , it's pronounced LAN - YAP.

Frag swap with something extra, meaning we'll have two speakers and some dry goods as well, besides frags ;)
