Bought my first gorgonian at The Fish Bowl today and don't know much about them. I know they are non photosynthetic and need plenty of flow. Can anybody give me some other needed advice. Here's a pic in his new home.

NPS Gorgonian care is lots of flow but not direct flow that would stress the polyps out, feeding multiple times a day, and good water quality. Low light or under an overhang will help keep the corals polyps out more frequently which will help with feeding but is not necessary. The main issue with NPS corals and high lighting is that they have no way to fight off algae growth. If the coral does get algae on it just use a soft tooth brush to gently brush it off.

That kind of looks like an Australian spider sponge to me. I believe they like lots of phytoplankton.
