True what I have heard, this thing can move some water! I have it in my 75 gal on 30% and it still gives a noticeable difference to the flow in my tank. I haven't tried the other modes and I may increase the flow rate gradually. It replaced two Hydor Koralia powerheads and so far, I am very happy with it.
Due to my landscaping, I had to mount vertical. When set at 100% it grabbed the sand. I think I can due 50%, but I wanted to start low and move up.
Mine has become very loud on wave mode. Silent on forward backward mode. My guess is the reverse kicks off some junk building up and causing the noise? I'm still not sold these are 'better' than traditional powerheads. I miss my Jebao RW 15
