It's Black Friday in the reefing world. What is everyone hunting for this year, live stock, dry goods or both?
Dry Goods! Also everyone feel free to turn this into a general page to link vendors black friday deals!
Got some dry goods and some live stock but not much. The dry goods were at pretty good discount prices from bulk reef supply. Also if you haven't already been notified, BRS is doing something for preferred customers tomorrow, I think like another cart or wish cart giveaway so make sure you guys check that out on CYBER MONDAY. Dry goods: Sicce 3 pump Reef Roids - Polyp Lab Coral Amino Live stock: 3 Rock flower anemones All the live stock black friday deals were pretty close to normal retail price so I didn't pick up much. I've been looking for the much rarer colors for rock flower anemones so I wasn't expecting to find much this week. I think the only other thing that had me a bit interested was a pink yuma from POTO (PiecesoftheOcean). Also POTO will be doing a frag swap like sale tomorrow starting at 1 or so on reef2reef. You can throw an offer on a bundle of stuff you like and they may take it. They have a good variation of sticks for those who like sticks. Frag Swap - Live Steal Link
Xystic thanks for the link! We are going to change your name to RFA hoarder! I just have 8 and I have a hard time finding ones that aren't like those I already have. I'm definitely going to check out the sticks on POTO sale.
Yep! Love rock flower anemones. Rarer ones are hard to come by online. Best ones tend to come from frag swaps and they disappear quickly. Hopefully tornado alley reef expo will have a few good ones.
Something like these on the reef builders article are rare. The one I'm searching for the most at the moment is the one below. I want to use this one as a base breeder. It can even get better than this as I've seen ones with a pink center and not a blue center like the one below. I use to own 2 similar to the one below with solid hot pink tentacles but they got fried by a broken heater. I got them from Frost @ Aznnutty corals. However, he's not a had anything like that since. I purchased them from him 4-5 years ago at $150 a piece. Here are some other rarer colorations. They can get pretty insane. I'm looking to add better breeders to my current pool. These below are your common ones you see at most LFS and vendors. You can get them anywhere from 15-40 dollars. You breed with these too and a small percentage of your spawn will be come out pretty insane too. However, it's usually 1-3% percent depending on the parent and then you still have to attempt to keep them alive.
