    Re: longing in every time

Cindy and Kevin I am sorry but I have no control over this login problem, at this time we are waiting for the amember developers to write the program to fix this problem. I have been told that if we were to make a change to fix this problem it will cause more problems later and take even longer to fix what could be messed up when one of the updates is added to Amember. This problem is being worked on and I apologize for the time it is taking to fix this issue.

The reason for amember is to keep track of a members membership and it has made the job of keeping up the memberships alot easier compared to the way we have done in the past. Amember also gives the permissions to RRMAS paid members, RRMAS forum members and guests as groups instead of each individual that had to be entered manually for the correct permissions. That alone could take hours to complete instead of minutes with amember. These are just small problems that we will get fixed with time and I will be glad when this login problem is resolved.

When I find out more about the time frame I will post on here as to when this problem will be fixed so all members can have the option to login automatically or not to.

I think we need to stop adding things until some of the issues are resolved. I was working fine until this weekend. It does discourage use of the forums. The sight has not been right after the new one was installed.

Kevin nothing has been added or changed in the last two weeks so I don't know what has happened to cause your computer to not keep you logged in. I have noticed that certain computer platfroms show the forum different from one another (ex. chris's verses my computer).I myself have always logged in and logged out so this is something that isn't and issue for me but I do understand that most members use this feature so I will see what I can do to get this fixed but for now I am at the mercy of the developers.

I not saying that something was added But the talk at meeting was to do some more to the sight with the video thing that is what I am talking about. lets fix some before we add more problems. We might start loosing members or not getting new ones.

My three computers all stay logged in, and I have not had to re log-in in a long time. I don't think that the type of users that make long-term positive contributions to a forum like this should be deterred by having to log in with each use.

Razorback Reef is very aware of the change in login that its forum participants are frustrated with and as we work on the differences to make them more acceptable to users of our forums we would appreciate the patients of forum participants. There are many facets of our website that are being worked on and its growth is a commitment of mine, Georgi Hristov and Jay Wilson, whom are not aquarists at all. Their was no discussion at the previous meeting about the need to delay the growth of the website due to problems with the change in log in however, members are free to offer any proposed direction to the board that they feel the club should take - I only ask that along with identification of problems that an accompaniment of a solution be offered. We will continue to work on the log in - I promise.

I log in every time I visit the site on purpose. I have a hard time letting anything log me in automatically. I know it is just the club board, but security is very important to me. I don't think it is a pain to type in 12 letters hit tab, type in my password and hit enter... just my opinion you know
