Just got a text from Greg Eller and while attending the Sat. night banquet at MACNA in Dallas he won the banquet giveaway grand prize of 2000 gallons of salt mix. Yes I said 2000 gallons. Greg is always very lucky at raffles so look out for tomorrow, I hear he has spent considerable time placing tickets in the raffle buckets. Good luck Greg !!!

It was an impressive win. His odds were 1 out of >1400. We hope to get photos for proof tomorrow. Everyone is having a good time. The talk by Jean-Michel Cousteau was very inspiring. Hopefully we'll be able to report more winners tomorrow.

Greg added a 48in Aquatic Life LED system, 2 large clams, and a 50' Sony Bravia LED tv to his collection of raffle items. I was afraid people were going to start booing if he won anything else. He definitely has the raffle touch.

There is more to this story than my raffle wins; MACNA is a wonderful event and if you ever have the opportunity you should go. Next Year is in Miami and you can buy tickets for $89 and Hotel for $129 a night. This event was several things. 1. It's a convention for the vendors to show you their product current an future. It's education with hours of lectures on the hobby and the industry and it's fellowship among peers who "get it". I have already bough my tickets for next year, I saw amazing tanks that were inspiring, there were products like the irobot glass cleaner that travels across your glass and scrubs it then returns to the charging station, like those robotic vacuum cleaners (I have to have one when they are release and the price drops a bit). Did I mention the free stuff you get, I have salt, food and Tshirts just to name a few. I bounded with our club members and made new friends; I can't think our team enough for taking care of me; hauling my loot and keeping the cocktails pulsing though my veins and telling to to go to that raffle and at what time. So again if your ever have a chance and you think you can't afford to go my words to you would be you can't afford not to go.

He didn't mention he won 9 out of 10 raffle items. All I won was a T shirt and I am already signed up for MANCA 2013.

The wife and I would love to go next year but that will have to be decided at a later date. We had a great time and won a few nice things at the booths. Got away with 16 T shirts and lots of different fish food. Greg are u glad we made u go now?

I get a call today from a freight company, Mr.Eller we have a delivery scheduled for you on Wednesday which loading dock do you want us to back up to? Seems all my salt is coming at once on a pallet, but it's all good. They will bring it on a truck with a lift so I only have to lug the 660 lbs into the garage. If anyone needs 200 gallon boxes at $40 a box hit me up.

DAMN!! What do you want for the 48" LED's??? That is if I can talk you out of them. Though...will that be to powerful for the 120? Would love a box of salt too, what brand is it?

I would like the two that we talked about the other day if you still have enough to spare. I can get them from you at the next meeting if that's OK.
