Ipicked up a 29gal to replace the 29 we have now that doesnt have a sump. It was during their dollar a gallon sale so i can afford to screw this up. I built the internal overflow out of acrylic and painted the backside of it. I cut the flutes in the top with a router but screwed up a little in the middle. I guess it will be okay its just a little ugly. To me its better than paying for an internal overflow thats about a hundred bucks. How would you guys and gals do the return?
I'm about to undertake putting a calfo in my 46 bowfront. For the return I plan on keeping it simple and just running pvc from my little mag 7 up the back and over the top with a 90 degree "L" into the tank. I had it setup like this once before but with a diy siphon overflow. I like things as simple as possible. The simpler a setup, the less that can go wrong.....generally speaking of course.
