In this setup it controls the brightness and color temperature of the lighting, changes the mode of the MP10 (I have the Apex module for that), controls the heater, and general pump control for the return pump and the skimmer. Beyond the control stuff it also sends alerts when there are any issues related to temperature, pH, etc.
