The timeline thing of an "aged tank" can be pretty subjective. The main thing is keeping all the levels of everything in your tank stable. I think stability is one of the most important things in this hobby.

I dont have a problem with that and I am not sure how I'm doing it with an eel...dirty things.(knock on wood) but doing slight WC every week and just running a skimmer and have a 10 or so gallon fuge load with anything you can think of pods and all. Got some sps for the first time, I'm going to try and see how that goes and if it goes well...god help my poor college bank account haha. Then the clam, the fish tank had a bunch of stuff just my wallet didn't.

I found a larger clam at the Fish Bowl in Searcy for around $40. It's also a club sponsor. I have no experience with eels. But I do know a lot of SPS like cleaner water. But the great thing about the club is you can get cheaper & free frags and really experiment with different corals.

I'll have to check it out haven't been there. I have to say the generosity and friendliness in the club is amazing never could find this up near Chicago where my home town is.

Lol I'm trying to lose some of my accent. Mine is so heavy that people who live down here laugh at it.

Called southern Illinois home for 2 years before this so started getting the Kentucky, Missouri bit of a accent since i worked with some thick accented people.

I'll trade some of your accent if you want some of the Chicago accent
Northern Illinois/chicagoan attitude must be bred into can't be learned haha

You'll enjoy Arkansas. The pace of life is slower, but that's not a bad thing. I've been all over the world, but this area is pretty awesome.

Yeah I'll be at them. It's nice to get out of this small town once a month & head into the big city of Little Rock.

Here's an update on my tank.

I've forgot the name of this coral, similar to an acan I believe, and starts with an e. I got this coral from Shawn. It was a solid dark purple color. I recently moved it into higher light, and it's starting to really color up.

This is my phoenix monti & some Sunny D's that I got from Shawn. I believe there was only 3 heads, but they are starting to really multiply.

This is the green leather that we got from Allen at John's house. It is starting to grow, and is really neon green.

This monti coral keeps growing. It was the size of a dime when I got it on a frag. I've fragged it several times too. It is by far my largest coral. I'm hoping my other monti's do as well as this one.

Greg gave me a green hairy mushroom probably a year ago. It has since turned into 10 green hairy mushrooms, but I like the way they look. I'm just letting them grow for now.

This monti is starting to really take off. I'm hoping that it will cover a lot of the back glass up, and I'm hoping to have other montis do this too.

Lynda gave me a frag of her xenia this past summer. It has really taken off. I know I should probably trim it before it takes over my whole tank, but I kind of like it. I've had several people who are not into the hobby see my tank, and really be fascinated by it.

    Just a full tank shot.

The war coral is still growing. I moved it, and it seems to be even happier.

This is the Phoenix monti that I won from live aquaria. I seen this week where they listed a frag just like mine in the Diver's Den for $129. So that was pretty awesome to win!

Looking as beautiful as ever. I have a piece of that orange monti doing well in my tank, too.

Beautiful Allan! Is that the Duncan we got from the club in Feb?

Thanks yall. If the Phoenix takes off, I'll make sure to get a piece to you. And it's a different Duncan. The one from the club has about 5 or 6 heads right now. I need to move it somewhere & see if I can get it to take off.

    Hiya,

Great tank!!! My neon green cabbage is also doing pretty well. Moved it down a little in the tank this weekend and it seems to be happier there.
