Very nice!!! Might I suggest to leave thew top open and just mount a cleat type rail on the inside of the ends and run a alum. channel {Lowes or HD} from one end to the other that can be moved for and aft on the rails and which the lights can be mounted too. It well let the heat straight out the top and well let it stay a whole lot cooler .

That is a steal for the stand and canopy, much less the tank, consider the cost of the wood and then the labor, raised panel doors, I wouldn't build it for that price, much less the tank too. Great job !!! [IMG]

tanks no longer for sale. Im gonna just keep it and run an overflow box...gonna be a predator tank anyway. I have a looker on the stand and canopy. Trying to make enough to build me another and an ASM G3 skimmer.

I have to tell on myself. I put trim on the canopy for the past few hours then went to put the cleats on the inside that will sit on the tank rim. Well guess what..the $%#! thing wont fit. I measured wrong and the whole thing will have to be re done. Anyone need a part of a canopy thats about 2 inches too short? LOL

instead of redoing the entire thing i would just raise the level and support the length with 2x4's if you can afford the extra height
