I'd be a nervous wreck! I'm sure I would flood it in no time! Here's hoping it stays nice and dry for you!

    Beautiful Cameron!

Did your Mummy Eye break too? I started with a single 3 mouth frag now I have 2 mouth and a 4 mouth frags.

  7. yeah, but I'm not sure if that is a good thing or bad. it actually looks healthy to me.

Mine was paper thin and actually broke due to current.

    Hiya,

It looks good! My mummy eye is still in one piece.

  11. So I'm checking water parameters on the 90 gallon tonight. I see that my Nitrates are higher than usual, but I have been feeding more than usual and I recently added new rock and fish LOL. I have been dosing with Micro Bacter 7 the last 1 & 1/2 weeks. where do you keep you parameters in your reef tank?

    Ammonia 0.0ppm
    Nitrite 0.0 ppm
    Nitrate 20 ppm
    Calcium 23 dkh / 460 ppm
    Magnesium 1600 ppm
    Phosphate 0.08ppm
    KH 9 dkh / 161.1 ppm
    PH 8.0
    Salinity 1.025
    Temp 79 F

    Mine currently are :

    Alkalinity....8.1

    Calcium......445

    Magnesium...1495

Nitrate......0.25 (I'm trying to get it to 1-2)

Phosphate.....0.01 (trying to get to 0.02-0.04)

    Temp 79.0 Ph 8.23 Salinity 1.026

I've seen some great SPS tanks with nitrates in the 20+ range but the consensus seems to be 2-5 as the sweet spot. I'm a firm believer in phosphate 0.05 or less. I had no real algae issues at all with a nitrate of 20 as long as my phosphate stayed under control.

As of today before water change mine was:

    Ammonia 0
    Nitrite 0
Nitrate 15ish (I've also been feeding a lot lately and didn't replace my Filter Socks mid week as usual)
    KH 8 dKH
    Calc 21 drops/420
Mag 1215 (it is trending up with each Water Change so I'm thinking my salt mix was super low and it's coming up with the new bag.)
    Phos 0.01
    SG 1.025-1.0255
pH fluctuates between about 7.69-7.99 (I have a bubbler in the sump to aerate and it seems like sometimes it comes up to 8.03 or so but that's about as high as it gets. Not sure how to raise it without raising alk.)
    Temp 76.9-77.6

So I'm working on lowering nitrates, increasing magnesium and hopefully holding steady on everything else.

  14. Some updated photos of the reef

I really love that one top center. I like how it has completely encrusted the rock. I'm torn because I want mine to look like that but at the same time I like things unattached in case they need to be moved! I'm too fickle to make them permanent!

What is that btw? And will you be selling/trading any frags of it?
