It seems like the club has a PAR meter. Is it possible for me to test my tank? @Botheboss
Its at my house still I think. I’ll ask the board and check just to make sure but I don’t think it would be an issue. I think leds mess with the readings but I’m no expert.
I dont want to actually borrow it. Maybe sometime you could swing by and take some readings?
I think that it's more than ok for you to borrow it! Like John said it's not the type that's accurate for LED's.
I would be interested in borrowing the PAR meter after I get the new tank setup and running so I can see for the first time what I am actually getting since this is new tank is going to be a show tank.
If I can make the next meeting I’ll bring it for ya
Hey guys I became a member at the LRA
Meet I was wanting to know if I could possibly borrow the par meter.
Anyone know who's got the PAR meter? Help Fredi out!
Sounds like the par meter will be at this Saturday's meeting in Conway.
Awesome thanks guys see y’all then!
I would like to borrow it next
I'm going to rent the BRS par meter and compare to the readings we got on my tank just to see how accurate our par meter is with LED's. I've read that this meter isn't very useful for LED's but it may be great.
I was curious about that also. Plus I felt it read par a little on the low side for me also when I used it.
I definitely thought about doing the same so just to see the difference in what I have and what the par meter read then what it helped adding the 4 bulbs
I plan on renting one this month I tried out the club one but the par readings I was getting seemed extremely low.
Cameron i can bring it to the next meet unless you want it before then.
I use LED also so I’m not sure it will be accurate. I might just rent one also
