  1. A canvas that I stare at for hours on end. :). I almost want a job that just let's me create rock scapes for tanks of all sizes. It would be cool to experiment.

I know you've been busy with work but how is the tank coming along?

  3. I haven't gotten much further. The water is in. The Fluval canister pump is working. I just added hermits. I also added some chaeto directly into the tank. Not having a sump or overflow basin might be challenging.

I also upgraded the lights to led's. The t5 fixture was so salt corroded that only two of the bulbs worked 100% of the time.

I'm in the process of planning the opening a new store. It's taking every ounce of extra time and brain power. So the tank might be pretty mature before I buy the next cool pieces.:D

I'm waiting on the algae blooms now...

Hey Natalie, you said you added chaeto directly into the tank. Might want to keep a good eye on the stuff, it can anchor into rocks annoyingly well and be a real pain to remove later. You could have green squiggles curling around your frags and reaching far into your rocks for months and months.

  5. Thanks Molli!

I'm not sure what to do without a sump or fuge. ;). This canister filter thing is throwing me. I though about making a little mesh bag to hold onto it for a bit, and anchor it into bare sand.

Sounds great! Good luck on your new store! And at least you have an excuse (time suck) to make you be patient with the tank! Lol

I think those little guys are cool! I didn't know what they were when I first saw them in mine. I haven't seen any in a long time though, so I'm guessing they all died off.
