So, heard about this new product that is supposed to help get rid of bryopsis and other algea's. I've got one rock that is pretty much covered in this stuff and thought I'd give it a shot.

I've added the product Monday night and this is how it looked the time I added the stuff. I'll post a picture Monday to show folks what it looks like now.

How have the fish and corals reacted to it? I know most medications aren’t display safe ...

No adverse affects. The only thing I really don't like is having the protein skimmer off for 14 days. and no water changes. I'll have picture of the progress later.

I’d like to finally get rid of this dang hair algae in my 85! It’s driving me crazy! But I don’t want to kill off worms or anything ...

Also, does it just target hair and briopsis or will it also kill my macroalgae in the fuge? I can move it to another tank ...

Not sure. It took out my hair algea, but the briopsis is proving to be more difficult. The new picture makes it look like nothing has happened. There weren't any worms in th2 75. Corris wrasse took care of all of them.

    Hiya,

Yes she did, but I was at Kevin's today and he is also carrying it. I do have a final photo of my briopsis. It's almost gone, but it didn't take out all of it. My tank may need a second round to get rid of all of it.

    The thumbnail shows it better.

That looks more like turf algae to me. Is it branched and looks like a fern?

    Looks like it’s working.

Sorry but Kevin totally screwed me over on some guppies and platies I took him and I won’t do business there again. Not to mention that he’s usually been a jerk to me when I’ve gone in there. And it’s not like I haven’t spent any money there ... I’d rather drive 25 minutes to LR, as opposed to 5 minutes across town, for good customer service and to be treated like they actually want my business. I also get fair credit on my livestock trade ins there. Just my experience. Sorry ... couldn’t hold it in any longer.

The thing about credit is if they can get it for $5 they aren’t going to pay $25. They usually give you the $5. Kevin has been very helpful and professional every time I’ve been in the store. They also have the best discount on livestock. I’m sorry you had a bad experience but I’m sure the guppies you had probably just weren’t worth very much.

Well even if not worth very much, and about half were platies, well over 100 is worth more than $6. I was buying 2 snails and an emerald crab. He made me pay for the crab and didn’t even give me a club discount. He never would tell me how much he paid in credit ... Vanessa gives me $1/each for the same guppies and platies! I’m glad you’ve had great experiences. If it was 1 time I’d shrug it off, as I did, and gave him chance after chance. I guess he doesn’t like me or my money. And I’ve thrown a lot of money into these tanks! But anyway ...

Doc. the algea I've had issues with is kinda fern like. It does grow tall though if not kept under control.

Sorry you had issues with Kevin. I can tell you he doesn't give $1 in trade in for guppies, platy's, mollies or any of the live bearers. I think it's a quarter trade in and size does also play into pricing. Small size just doesn't sell as well as larger full sized fish. Either way, if you brought in 100 It should have been worth $16 in trade. Maybe we need to get Kevin a list of the members like we provide Jack.

He knew I was a member because I told him. It’s been so long now that I don’t remember if it was 140 or 170 ... either way ... he could have told me up front that he gives a quarter. He never would tell me. He also could have told me he wouldn’t take them. But he was so sketchy about it all. It’s ok though ... I’ll just go see Vanessa when I need something :) He has made it clear that he doesn’t value my business.
