I like IO but in my opinion the best salt is the aquavitro salinity.

I've recently switched to Tropic Marin Pro from Red Sea Coral Pro simply because I got tired of the residue on my mixing containers with the Red Sea. It wasn't a tank issue, all my livestock did well with the Red Sea.

I use IO Reef Crystals because that's what my local store has. Haven't tried anything else.

I recently switched from Reef Crystals to Red Sea Coral Pro. My Mg++ numbers were always low with the Reef Crystals.

Coral Pro is ok but read and follow the directions. They say to not mix with powerhead and heat more than one hour. My first batched mixed nicely and I stored it over night. The next morning I hooked up a powerhead and a heater before leaving for work with the intent of doing a water change after work. When I lifted the lid to my salt mixing tank it looked like low fat milk! Took 12 hours to clear.

Now I mix with an aluminum boat paddle and it mixes clear and fast.

my Mg numbers are low with the reef crystals I bought from Greg's plentiful bounty. I also have a clay-like residue in the mixing tank. When I run out I am going back to Tropic Marin

I have used Brightwell Aquatics NeoMarine salt for about two years and have had good results. It is a very clean salt that mixes quickly with no residue. I tested a new batch of water today and the parameters always seem consistent Ca 410 KH 7.5dKH Mg 1200 Ph 8.3 with a salinity of 1.025.

I used that aquavitro stuff for a while when I won it for a raffle prize. It caused weird algae growth and growth wasnt what i expected. The seachem reef was fine I used it for about a year. The first salt I ever used was red sea coral pro I had really nice growth with it. Now I'm using some of Greg's reef crystals its bout the same as seachem reef. Keep in mind everyone's tank processes mag, cal, and other elements differently so go with what you feel is best for your tank.

I got a good deal on the Fluval salt a while back and have been using it in my nano and haven't had any problems. I love the lid, lol. Not that that is a reason to buy salt, though.
