Hey. Not sure if this is doable or what but I was planning on buying my RODI unit this week but I won't be picking up my new tank until the end of the month or middle of next depending on weather. It comes with a RODI unit so I really don't want to have to buy one and then have 2.

I'm wondering if there is someone in Benton with a unit that wouldn't mind letting me borrow water for the next few weeks. I'd be happy to repay you once I get my unit. Driving to LR and buying water is getting pricey and a little irritating ... I've been getting 10 gallons at a time and am having to do more frequent than normal water changes to get nitrates down.

Or does anyone have a spare unit I could borrow for the next 2-4 weeks?

    Anyway ... just a thought ...

Wish you were closer, you're welcome to any water you want to come and get any way!

Have you found the source of the nitrates?

Not sure. Possibly it was over feeding? I was feeding the fish 1-2 times a day and now I'm just feeding once. They were hanging around 30-40 despite regular weekly water changes but I've done a few larger, more frequent changes and they are closer to 15-20 now. Hoping if I continue the water changes for a while longer I'll be able to get them almost gone. I've also introduced some denitrifying bacteria soaked Matrix and squirted the bacteria in the holes of the live rock to hopefully help with the nitrates for the long run. I'm still dealing with some hair algae on some of my rock. It's so hard to physically remove.
