I watched some reviews on a hob aquamaxx 1.5 skimmer and it seemed really good. Any thoughts on efficiency compared to a protein skimmer in a sump of the same size. I am overhauling my filteration and I was debating between traditional sump with mechanical then skimmer then return or doing mechanical then fuge then return. I have a 40 breeder with a custom built stand. I built my stand taller and a little bigger so I had options with filteration. Stands u buy in my experience were always irritating because of the height restrictions under the tank.
