I have some base rock and coral that has been stored in 5 gallon buckets for some time. I want to use it in my new tank and its been soaking in freshwater for about a week with daily water changes. Is there anything else or different I need to do before I can use it in my tank? --Thanks

Is it "real base rock" (mined not taken from the sea)? If so I would just rinse it in RO/DI water and scape with it. If it's been used in a tank before I would be tempted to acid wash it to try and avoid phosphate leaching. With true base rock I don't worry too much because there isn't any organic material on that rock.
