I have a Mr. Aqua 12gal long. At the right end, on the back, is my hob so the flow there is strong and downward. Currently it is the only space in my tank that has no corals. Would this be a good spot for Birds Nest and Arco? Trying to determine what corals would be best here so some of your alls opinions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Ann, you could try about anything as long as you have good light.

I would say no, while many corals like "high" flow... Not many like "Direct" flow... This location would be direct flow..... I wouldnt put a SPS there. At best a rugged softy or something like GSP.

lol..This why that spot is still blank, well bar a small rock of GSP. Hard to figure out what to do with that spot, its been bugging me. Can't even get rock work how I want it really. I have hob on 1/2 output there because it blows crap outta sand. I can tell that spot just going to be bane of this tank. Grrr..Stereonephthya maybe? Its a softie that likes strong flow. Anyone have any experience with it? Not in a rush, just getting options atm.

Is there a lot of direct light there? If not I would recommend a chili coral. They are non photo synthetic and like strong flow. It's a coral that looks cool upside down.

Got a picture of the location? Might help with knowing what we are looking at.... Again, Direct flow, like a HOB filter, pounding strait down water...... Not many corals are going to take that kinda abuse especially if you claim that its enough to blow stuff all over the place..... Best idea might be a tall coral in front of this location to kinda hide the openness in the rear.

Not to be a party pooper but I'd be afraid of having a coral which will require feeding in that size tank. You'll have a nutrient nightmare in no time just trying to keep the coral fed. Not saying that it wouldn't work but I wouldn't want to tackle it. Keep us posted.

That spot right near the Mr Aqua sticker is the part getting sand blasted off of it. HOB is only at 1/2 output and its an AC70, tank size is 35.4 x 8.3 x 9.4. I do have a piece of plexi with sand glued to it so it doesn't look completely off. But even that is starting to get sand ripped off.

For some reason the links on the Stereos wasn't working.. i "think" i fixed them. And I am not talking about Chili corals..those are Nephthyigorgia. Stereonephthya is photosynthetic.
