    Hiya,

Okay, so tomorrow seems to be the day. I've finally got enough credit saved up at Kevin's to at least buy more substrate and water to set the 75 up. To tonight, I've wiped the inside of the tank down and up on the back. Had to move it out a little to make sure the HOB filter could fit as well as the skimmer. Would hate to fill it up and then not be able to get them on. Didn't have time or the help to spray paint the back of the tank black, so I used the black film that Regina sent with it.

Having some issues with the lighting. I know it needs new bulbs, but I've got to figure out how to open the dang thing. One of them is burnt out and I'm hoping it's not the fixture but just the light. Anyway, I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow. I'll have everything moved by then and pray that there's not to much of a cycle.

Best of luck, hopefully it will be a little warmer tomorrow.

    Hiya,

Took apart the light fixture tonight. Seems that one of the bulbs is dead and there's a loose wire in one of the others. Not sure how to attach it so it will work correctly. I may just have to use electric tape to hold it in place.

I'm definitely hoping it will be warmer tomorrow. I'm tired of the cold.

    Hiya,

Got everything moved today, but it's still pretty milky from the new substrate. I'll see about posting pictures tomorrow. That is if I can figure out how to do it!

    Hiya

Hmmm...didn't realize it would take you to the entire album. Most of those pictures are from when I initially set it up and had a horrible algea issue. Not an issue any further.

Its working good on the tapatalk app.

Your tank is looking good. I think I remember photos of the tank earlier, & I don't remember it having all that coralline algae. Is there some secret? I've googled and scrapped. Mine is increasing, but is a lighter color. All of the corals I got from you on Saturday are polyping out, and looking good.

    Hiya,

Glad to hear the corals are looking good. Can't remember if I told you, I use T-5's on my tank and thanks to this thread, I realize it's past time to change my bulbs. Thank goodness I'm closing some houses in the next couple weeks so and can afford to buy them. Just one of the disadvantages of using T-5's.

I used tropic marine salt and did a 10 gallon water change every week. I think that had a lot to do with it...good salt, good flow and water changes. Since then I've had to switch salts and I'm using Red Sea Coral Pro now. I'll continue to do 10 gallon water changes every week and we'll see if the new rock I have in there gets covered as quickly.

Keep us posted. I've got LEDs turned up really bright in my tank, & I'm thinking that may be the problem. But whatever you are doing, keep doing it. It's looking great!
