Tanks coming down

Discussion in 'Buy/Sell/Trade' started by SilentReefer, Nov 9, 2018.

  1. Alrighty reefers. I’m moving to go to school. My 140 is coming down.

Some of you have seen pictures taken fairly recently. It looks the same with new growth. I need this system GONE! Several SPS coral and fish.

Interested parties text me at (501) 278-1501. Do not email me or reply here. I’m happy to answer questions and I’ll occasionaly take pics when asked. If things are still here by Tuesday Wednesday I’ll be making other plans to get everything out.

    Happy Reefing!

You guys are blowing it...but thank you for leaving it for me. There is now a huge 8" plus Bonsai acro, an almost as big Tyree Pink Lemonade, a 4" Short cake, several sps frags and.......a WD acro mini colony sitting in my tank now.

Lots of great SPS left and some neat fish including a big Foxface Lo, Coral Beauty,Azure Damsel,Engineer Goby, Tomini Tang and others I'm sure I'm forgetting.

  4. Okay reefers. This post is ultra pic heavy. 10 pics to be exact. I'm leaving in December and need the tank down. I would prefer the coral to remain attached to rock as much as possible. Two reasons, the rock is full of life and the rock also needs to be gone....not just the coral. That means I won't be fragging much.

Pic 1 (through dirty glass) Large rock, probably 8-9 inches long and 4-5 wide. Encrusted by a montipora of some sort (confusa or spongodes variety maybe). The monti is a shade of lime green with purple p0lyps. The rock also has palythoa grandiosa attached and growing, at least 6 heads. The rock also has green mushrooms, and unfortunaely like all my rocks......brown paly's. Yes if your sensitive likely the variety that is toxic (Though I frequently cut them and pull them out with my hands.......avoid mucous membranes).

Pic 2. Large Lime green Sinulara leather. This thing glows under actinics. I'm not much into softies, but this is a legit show piece for a mixed reef or softy tank. When fully expanded I'm guessing 13-15 tall and 7-8 wide.

Also in the pic you see yellow finger leather. Also a a nice addition for softy lovers. It's good size too when fully expanded.

Pic 3. Large ORA purple Stylo colony......it's big and likely attached to several rocks. Its skeleton is very hard and likely will come out in two to three pieces. Those fish need a home too!

Pic 4. Good size Green Stylo or cats paw. The growth patter on this is drastically different than the purple stylo. The purple stylo gets very tall branches. The green cats paw as you see is dome shaped. I'm guessing this is at least 6in long and 4ish wide. The white area on the far left of this coral are from the Tri color valida that rolled into it last night. It'll heal up in a day or two.

Pic 5. Unknown branching acro. When this it's happy, it's beautiful. As you see it's growing very well but only part of it is coloring up. Nice shade of green with purple coralites. It's quite large, probably 8x5x5in or so.

Pic 6. This pic shows a Ponape birdsnest, much larger than a frag but not what I call a colony (though many online vendors would). Also a really cool smooth skin acro mini colony (probably a carolinia), and lastly an unknown acro frag I just recently picked up. The unknown frag is green/yellow and beginning to get purple tips with glowing green polyps. Make me an offer for the rock, though every thing should pop-off easily.

Pic 7. Shot through dirty glass. Colony size Green hydnophora. I'm guessing this is 5-6 tall and 4 wide. Comes attached to small barnacle rock.

Pic 8. You can see here on the left is a lime green digitata. (glows under actinics) It's a tad beat up, you see two brown spots where it was burned by other coral before I glued it to this magnet a few days ago. It's already healing and looking healthy in person.

What I tried to get a pick of here though is this big rock in the back of the tank. I want this rock and coral to go out just as it is. In the front is a nice tabling acro. The acro is growing well after almost dieing off. When it's fully colored up it will be a light green with pinkish colored tips. Just behind it is a good decent size colony of green slimer. Just behind the slimer is a mini colony of UC equisita/Tyree Ultimate stylo. Then finally, behind that is a red/orange plating montipora.

Pic 9. A frag of ORA Hawkins. This thing is growing well and really coloring up beautifully!!

Pic 10 (last one). This is simply another view of the SPS combo rock that someone is going to be really really please with.

Not pictured. One of the base rocks had been the home of the pink lemonade. I had to cut and break the colony off the rock. This means if someone wants to buy the base rock, they'll also be getting remnants of the pink lemonade. And honestly, it's a fair amount.

You can also see in pictures where the bonsai and shortcake were detached and there are good sections of encrusted coral left. Once fish and rock are gone I will take a blade and try to salvage that as well. So please, come get this stuff.

In addition to what David mentioned I have a sixline and a pair of clowns who would love to host something beside rock.

Please call or text me at 501-278-1501
My schedule is a bit crazy right now because of the short time frame with which we have to do everything, but I do and will have time for people to swing by sporadically.

The tank and equipment are also for sale.

If anyone got the sunset monti and has a fagged piece I’d love to get one.

I have a colony of sunset month and can cut you a piece if you would like. Gonna break it all down in a few months to transfer tanks anyways

Sounds great. Just give me a heads up on when you’re breaking it down and I can come get it, and maybe give you a hand if you need one.
