So at yesterday's Frag Swap, I managed to win both the Rainbow Rose Bubble Tip anemone and watermelon chalice from Advanced Aquatics. Was quite excited at first but I quickly realized that there possibly could be an issue in my tank. Threw in 3 random tickets =d.

I do have a good portion of a rock left in my tank about a 7"x8" rock but my tank consists of 40 rock flower anemones. RFAs and RBTAs are not able to sit next to each other. I do know how to manipulate rock flowers to stay put where I want them but I've never ever had a RBTA before. Generally, I've been told over the years that they are usually the first couple inhabitants to add. In my tank this would be some of the last specimens to be added. This piece I obtained looks to be at about 5" partially opened in room light but I'm thinking at max it might be about 7".

What do you guys think? Keep it or sell it?

Well I decided that I would experiment for the greater good of reef keeping.

Although RFAs are less prone to move, they generally move when they don't find suitable locations to conceal their foot. I find that 99.9% of the time, if I provide a small cavity for their foot, they literally will not move from that spot regardless how high or low light. This is the same for flow.

So I pulled out my live rock chunk and put a 2"x2" hole that was about 1.5" deep. After placing the BTA in, it scooted around a bit in the cavity but quickly locked on.

Lets see if it stays put!
