Wish I could make it! I have to go to Reefapalooza in Chicago that weekend. I hope the turn out is great! I will go ahead and manage the who is bringing what for the meeting still! Also who knows the club coral for the month?? We already have it and if you attended the last meeting you got inside information on to what it is! OK Main course will be- Mean Pig pulled pork sandwiches Drinks- Adam Mulling Plates/utensils- Jake/Belinda Sides - baked beans dessert- CaBrowne cupcakes, Topics to discuss- ?? What about fish stocking? coral placement? What corals and fish work together in a reef tank? I can add more if anyone has more to add!
I'm sure I will make them again sometime if everyone likes them. I wish I lived closer to y'all then I could bring my chocolate mousse torte. But it would melt.
I know I live too far away but I wish we could do a meeting series where seasoned members come and see new reefers tanks and give advice on "hey this is wrong, this won't work, or yeah this looks great.." that kind of stuff. I know I'm kind of embarrassed to show my tank to experienced reefers cuz y'all's look so great, but I think it would help new reefers, just a thought.
That’s a great idea. Don’t ever be embarrassed, none of us know it all and that’s one of the great thing about this group is all the knowledge and willingness to help. I’m still relatively new to the hobby myself. Don’t hesitate to ask questions.
Who said we can't visit? I play with fish for a living and still learn new stuff about the hobby. There is always new evolving ways to keep fish and corals. 15 years ago people would say there is no way to keep a reef without sand and minimalistic rock....look what people do now.
Plates and utensils can be on me, I can drop them off with someone...Jake. Along with the club saw and the deli cups for the coral!
