We have bought a 90 gal bowfront and it came with a 20g sump tank but it is in pieces so my question is what's the difference in a sump and a refugium (not sure of spelling) and is there anyone close that could maybe help me out with the setup when the time comes lol. I live in knoxville and I'm also looking for a skimmer for the setup or do I need one???

A sump is going to be for your main mechanical filtration, where the refugium is a very helpful aquarium or section of the sump to keep algae in. The basics are the algae grows in the refugium so it doesn't grow in the display tank. I've seen a few tanks run off of just a refugium and no actual filter but its pretty tricky if I understand correctly. Personally I would say a skimmer is going to be your best friend. I live in fort smith but my parents and girlfriend live in Morrilton so I drive past Knoxville every other week or so if you need help.
