I spot fed all my corals today for the first time ever. I used Reef Rhoids and followed their directions. Tremendous feeding response from the zoas/palys, acans and euphyllia. However, all my SPS slimed up big time..everyone of them. This is what I usually see when they are irritated like when out of water for a few minutes with water changes, etc.

Is this a normal response? Is this a negative?

OBTW...My fish were frustrated to the max! LOL they could smell food in the water but it was so small they couldn't find it/eat it! They did start eating the mucous from the SPS.

Just a guess, could the slim be used to make the food stick to the polyps better? I have had good luck feeding LPS and my current RBTA. The RBTA is growing at a fast rate with daily feedings.
