After an unplanned and unwanted hiatus we're back in paradise to dive this week. I'll post some pics when our internet connection allows.

Arrived yesterday evening. This is the view from our front porch.

So jealous! I sent you a message ... just disregard! ;)

Will you be bringing anything back or is this just a viewing trip?

Wish you could keep a sponge this brightly colored in a reef tank.

Well for starters that one is about 6' across and about 4' high. :) .

Those kind of sponges seem to be very difficult to keep alive. No sure what they require that we can't supply but everything I've read says they are hard to keep. If anyone has any experience with them I would appreciate some input!

Night dives mean lobsters, crabs and octopus! View it in full screen on your 'puter for the full effect.

Cool video of an Eagle Ray yesterday morning.

Love the videos! Is that a Pearly Jawfish I see at the end of the Eagle Ray video?

You ever tried spear fishing or lobstering? Fun stuff

Yes it is. There are lots of them in sandy and rubble areas. Not terribly shy either.

Never been anywhere we could go for lobster. Love spear fishing but here you have to take a course and rent a Hawaiian sling from the government to take lionfish!

Really? I use to work with a guy from the Bahamas and he would go out everyday and spear a snapper and catch a couple lobsters for dinner.lol Florida has a losbter season that I think is open now. They taste way better than main lobster to me.

Oh yeah, here where we are they don't allow it unless you take the course. Some other Caribbean places are like that and others encourage you to go after the lionfish. Would love to do some lobster(bug) hunting in Fl.
