I'll have to plead ignorance. I've never tried an elegance, heard they were pretty difficult to keep.

Looks like it's pretty happy to me though.

Yea, apparently that is a misconception about their hardiness due to the fact that they used to be a hot item in the reefing world and came from Indonesia. Some time along the way they all started to die of a mysterious disease in captivity so they got a bad rep. The one I have is a different species from Australia and is known to be almost bulletproof. The problem is that you have to make sure to get it from a reputable source or you'll end up with an Indo instead of an Aussie. They are my fav LPS Coral and drew my eye to this hobby. :) Now I'll just have to do some trial and error to see if I can get this beauty to extend out all the way! Also, they are known to eat inverts that get too close and dying fish. But, host clowns if no anemone is present (for better or worse due to the clown irritating it sometimes).

Placement at bottom in substrate / mod lighting / mod to low flow

Ok, there's my brain dump on Elegance Corals ;)

Yeah those other inhabitant eating practices is what steered me away from them! I think they are beautiful but I don't want to sacrifice my other critters!
