fragging star polyps

    im having trouble with star polyps i cut some off of a big piece i had growing it was spreeding too much so cut it back but i glued the piece to the rubble rock and its been a week and it still hasnt come out glueing was the rong thing to do?i now you can rubber band it till its atached but this is small pieces will it be o.k. in time?

    Star polyps don't attach very easily most of the time. I've had best luck anchoring a bit down via a rock, or by banding it. It also takes a bit longer to attach than zoas etc.

    so glueing was the rong thing to do ?will they be o.k.? just a waiting game ?

    It won't hurt them. There is a good chance they will come loose as the glue is in contact with the tissue. I would band them too. Then have patience.

    In the past I have glued star polyps to my overflow or back glass with no issues. Are they in different flow or lighting than they were originally?
