Hitchhiker on snail??

    I have seen these stalks growing on the snails in my frag tank, but today is the first time I have seen something open up from them. Anyone seen these before?

    I’ve seen them when I live in Florida. They are a kind of macro algae I do believe but I don’t remember what they are called.
