We have acquired a pentagonal tank, and I need to construct a top. Plastic would seem to be the best material for me to work with. I need recommendations for the type of material, and a vendor.
    Thanks,
    Wayne

PVC or phenolic would be OK. Either way you are going to need a supported, flat surface for the tank. So throwing a 3/4" piece of phenolic by itself probably wouldn't be good. As a top piece to supports on all sides of the aquarium would be fine I'm sure - as in a regular stand.

What size is it? I had a octagon set up as a freshwater tank and ended up ordering one online for it, I can't remember the prices but the guy at marine world in hotsprings will customize acrylic

We have two of them now, I believe they are just under 50. They are pentagonal. I found a store bought cover, but it is oddly shaped to provide space for a filter. Thanks.

Yea I ended up having to cut my top I ordered offline it was a few inches to big for my over the back filter I had on it. Canister filters work better set up on octagons but I used over the back on Mine tho. What your plans on it?

It would make a nice seahorse tank, lots of height.

That would be pretty cool to see a bunch of seahorses floating around it I thought about turning mine into a mini jellyfish tank when I had it, then read about how hard they are to keep
