So I'm running my lights at the BRS recommended SPS levels. Blues really pop in my tank. But reds and pinks look really dull. I'm getting some decent growth on my ORA Red Planet, but it almost looks grey to me. My red in lps looks fine. Is there a trick to get sps to color up that I'm missing. I've attached some pics for reference.

More pics. The pink table acro with blue tips was dark pink when I got it a month ago. It is hard to tell that it is the same coral. It has grown some but look at the difference in coloration.

Are your nutrients (NO3, PO4) extremely low? Some people note drab SPS coloration with low nitrates.

I find pink (haven't seen any truly red SPS) the hardest SPS to get colored up. You're not alone. If you crack the code, let me know! :)

Calcium is 430. Alkalinity is 8.0. pH is 8.4. I feed about a sheet of nori a day. I add in 5ml of Acropower daily. I feed at least 2 cubes of frozen each day. I alternate a lot of different foods like brine, mussels, angel mixture, rods original, rods pacific plankton, rotifers also feed a little tdo chromaboost from reef nutrition and some new life spectrum pellets everyday. I also put in a squirt of reef nutrition phyto every other day. I feed coral feast twice a week.
