I just purchased a 90 gallon tank and would like to build a sump for it. Does anyone have some plans or suggestions for building one?

I would suggest going to utube and search diy sump plans. There are as many plans as there are sumps, so try to find one to fit your needs. Also go to as many members homes as you can and look for yourself and ask questions. Don't get in a hurry and do it right the first time. I'm in Conway so come by after the meeting on the 20th. I am building sumps for my frag systems now.

As far as plans go look at them on youtube like Norman said. Look for an appropriate sized tank to use as your sump, then what I'd do is look for a skimmer that filters twice your water volume. The footprint of your skimmer is very important aswell as the height. Too tall of a skimmer and you won't be able to work on it as easily as you need to. ASM skimmers are great skimmers they are cheaper that others that are rated the same size but pack a punch.

I would have my refugium separate from my sump. You want unfiltered, unskimmed water going to your refugium. They make HOB refugiums that would be great for your system.
