The Acro 'frag' I got at the meeting

    This thing is easily 4 inches across!! Thanks guys! Here it is acclimating. I had to find the biggest container I had to fit this thing, and it was still a tight fit. More please!!! :D

    Hiya,

    I got several pieces of the acro....it's in my tank and getting darker. Looks like it may have purple or blue tips. Can't wait to see it get settled in!

    Acro's do not need acclimation to water. Sometimes that can cause more harm than good. They do need acclimation to new lights though. I used to acclimate most coral but now I only acclimate fish and inverts. You would be surprised to see how many coral spend several hours a day out of the water exposed to the hot sun. They are tougher than most people think. A lot of starfish are the same although the rumor is never let it touch air.

    Mine was surprisingly clean. Only a few pods in the dip water. Very dark...can't really tell the color but not brown.
