Marine Snow gets laughed at a lot. The consensus is it's worthless.

Zoas are easy to frag -- just cut/break the rock they're on.

Thanks for starting this thread Kevin. I was curious, what about messing around with indiviual polyps? Can you cut them singly off of a rock, and glue them to a new one, or are they too delicate. I'm a perfectionist, and I don't like to see a rock with 60 polyps of one morph, and two of another smack dab in the middle? Thanks.

Cutting them is not problem...getting them off of the rock without damage takes a little more skill / patience. If you are able to use a chisel and scrap a little of the rock under the zoa it will make it easier to glue. Be very careful not to get the glue anywhere but on the foot. It it gets up around the stalk, you will usually lose the frag. I find single polyps have a poorer survival rate. Also, NEVER frag zoas without wearing safety glasses and rubber gloves. The toxins in them can really put a hurting on you if it gets into your eye or a cut.

As for fragging zoa's most of the time I just place a rock, frag plug, or frag disc right against the edge of the rock with the zoa's on it and let them grow right out onto it. I then just slice through the connecting part with a razorblade.... Ta Da! A frag!
