This is a 300 Gallon DAS aquarium that the club is selling. Measurements are 72"long, 44" at its widest, 32" at the overflow, and 20 inches deep. This is a very unique shaped tank that will be the center piece of the room it is placed in. The club is asking $650.00 It has a stand that is in fine shape but the canopy could use a little work. You can contact me for any other information if you need it.

Sam It looks like the stand is not high enough for the sump and skimmer and other equipment to go under the tank. Would you have to have it in another room??? Very interesting tank that a person could really build a cool reef in.

John, this is a DAS tank and designed for dual skimmers in the larger sections of the overflow box. It is designed to be a closed system, I guess you would say like a large nano steup. Overflows and returns are contained in the overflow box, so no sump. This is like the 180 that Chris has set up now. I'm sure he could answer any specific questions about the system if needed. This would make a beautifull tank in the right room. I'm sure everyone realizes what a great price this is for a DAS tank of this size and custom shape. Hopefully someone can use it as a one of a kind showpiece in their home or office.

I went ahead and put the canopy on the tank to get the pics. It looks like he had some kind of closed loop ran in the canopy some of the plumbing is still in it.

The previous owner,Mr. Griffin, had the tank set up on blocks and had a 43 gal for a sump. I believe he was using a sequence dart for return pump. He had plumbing running in canopy with several openings with flex tubing for flow. I thought about getting the tank but just didn't have room. It was a cool tank when he had it set-up.
But anyways, the tank can be set up higher and sump/skimmer used.

Maybe I will call him if it doesn't sell on here in a few weeks. It does look like the tank at the fish bowl!

  14. I have had several people inquire about the tank and have quoted them $400. The club is motivated to sell this tank and turn it in to money that can benefit the members rather than look for a higher price. If any one would like this nice tank please pm me and we can work something out. We can even work out delivery for anyone that is considering purchasing the tank.
