Where did you get the glass for the top? May have to steal that idea for tanners tank. We are losing about a gallon a day due to evaporation.
I used an entertainment stand for the tank stand.. the glass is the shelf out of it. It fit pretty well. Make for an interesting look too....
We are starting my son Colton a 20 gallon in his room. Our budget is gonna be around $300, but I already have ballasts, powerheads, live rock, sand, etc. I think it's awesome to be able to do this stuff with your kids. Back when we had the tanks set up, he could name every coral in the tank. He used to be the one to give "tank tours" when company came over.
I agree! Ours do the same... They are quick to show off the tanks and tell their friends about all of the cool critters in it... We have the oldest on tank maintenance... Filling the tanks and feeding the tanks.
Same here also, Tanner gives the tank tours here also which is starting to be a tank in every room. lol I am glad to see kids involved in the hobby.
Not to get off on a rant, but I'm the product of a broken home. My dad was an extreme alcoholic. Thank God my mom was so grounded and didn't do anything like that. My wife and I were talking the other day and I've come to the realization that having such a bad dad has made me a better father. I try to get my son involved in everything I can. We hunt, fish, ride four wheelers together...he is getting his own tank, etc. I try to be a major part of his life, and my 3 year old daughter too. When she gets a little older (she is a tom boy) I plan on doing the same stuff with her. For now she gets lots of hugs and watches lots of cartoons with dad, and sometimes I even break down and play barbie...lol
hummmm... hum?.... lol  All will have a sad shot at the end eventually except one.. =) 75 is getting torn down along with the Nano... Then I will snatch Blakes sig and use it for my own... (evil laugh)
