Hello all. My wife and I are new to the hobby, but are learning tons from your examples.  I must say that I am definately finding RRMAS very interesting.  I especially enjoy the long threads of tank builds and age progressions.  That's where I learn the most and find the best ideas to steal .   So, I figured I'd start a progression of our own. Just a few stats:   55g all tempered display [/*:m:133gvfia] 10g sump [/*:m:133gvfia] 10g refugium [/*:m:133gvfia] 216W 48" T5 w/ 18K,10K, actinics(2) [/*:m:133gvfia] research and concept started 10/1/10 [/*:m:133gvfia] build started 12/1/10 [/*:m:133gvfia] water in 12/4/10[/*:m:133gvfia]   I'll load this into several different posts, and then update, from there on, as we go.  Hope you enjoy.  Â
Other than cycling with the LR, not much else happened in the first month. Other than trying to catch this little bugger.
After the cycle was complete and the first month, or so, had gone by we added our first fish and the clean up crew. Then added a few more fish every few weeks and a few corals the month after that.
And here we're are today... 3 1/2 months in and doing pretty good. Plenty happy with the results and now ready to watch everything 'live long and prosper'. Thanks for checking us out.
Very good job, I'm glad to see you on the forums and will be watching your progress. I like your aquascaping with the open sandbed. Hope everything does "live long and prosper".
