I upgraded my lighting to 3 175 watt Metal Halides and 2 160 watt VHO's I am running the VHO's for 8 hours and the Halides for 4 hours. I forsee a possible chiller by next summer or just cranking the AC.

I've been wondering how that hammer was doing. Looks like its doing well.

My corals are beginning to show some real nice growth. There is nothing more satifying to me than a thriving captive reef system.

I see lots of growth in your frags since Amber and I were at your house in Dec. Some people hate the green star polyps (I believe that's what the big cluster was) but I like them. The hammer looks good and you SPS is taking right off. What caused the green algae on the glass though? Gonna be a gorgeous system when it grows up. Think when we upgrade it will be to a 135 also. Just don't have the dough right now at $319 plus $150 for the overflows and shipping from glasscage.

I am not sure what is causing it. I just do not clean that part of the glass so my grazers will have some natural occuring greens.

Very nice setup. It doesn't hurt to clean the glass, I clean mine everyday or 2, as you want the cleaning crew cleaning the rock and such. I use a magnafloat and just leave it in the tank at one end when done.
