I recently bought this lil fan off ebay. The fan is a lil noisy not lie a bus engine loud. It does a great job. Lately my tank has been getting up to 83. So the first part of my experiment was to let my temp get up to what it has been getting up to, then i turn my fan on and leave the light on til i get home. my temp went from 83 to 78 in 6 hours. in theory on a 100 gallon you should be able to keep the temp stable before the lights come on and keep up with the temp with lights on. maybe a 2 to 3 temp difference. just my thoughts

I too use this fan on my 24 galln Aqua-pod. NSA has one on their little display tank up front. You cannot really notice the noise in their shop due to all of the background noise. It does work very well though.
