I am new to saltwater like mentioned in previouse post, I purchased a established 29 gallon biocube and it came with some chemicals I am not sure exactly how to use or if i need to use
    here they are
    Kent Marine
    1)16oz Pro Buffer dKH
    1)16oz Liquid Calcium
    1)16oz Tech M Magnesium
If some one could call me and tell me how to use this I would appreciate it LOTS

Also from what I can tell and the test kits I have all my levels check good

The only foolproof way is to buy test kits and only add what measures lower than you want.

If you do your water changes once a week you will more than likely not need those chemicals. Especially with just mushrooms. The frog spawn will get enough calcium from the water changes, and in a 29 gallion tank. Do your 6 gallon a week like you said and you will be fine. One less thing to worry about adding to the tank too.
    Just my opinion

I have to agree with ibassfish, do your water changes and you should be good.

Do some reading and research if you like. There is a sticky post in the Chemistry forum labeled "Everything you need to know & much more". Check that out.

Unless you have a bunch of hard corals that require certain levels of alk., calc., mag., do as mentioned above by others. The above chems are needed for hard corals and LPS skeletons and clams to build their coral skeletons, anything else could care less. Regular water changes well more then replace what is needed by a frog spawn. If you add a bunch of hard corals in the future, test for alk and calc levels and dose a needed. Read the sticky at the top of this forum list on alk., calc.

  7. +1 to the good advise above

I do 15% week water changes - this takes care of 98% of my dosing needs. I do use a bit of 2-part solution the advise of Randy Holmes-Farley.

Only way to know for sure though is testing.

If interested check out this post... at the bottom (post #109 of the thread - is advise Soctt Fellman gave me on the dosing he did, it correlated exactly with what Randy Homes-Farley advised - I thought that was pretty cool!)
