Hi Reefers, I just added a DIY refugium to my system. I have an Oceanic 140 gallon and was using a 30 gallon sump as a sump and refugium. My system was not optimal.......to say the least. I am very fortunate to have Sam Grimmett live near by as he came to my house saw my setup and immediately made some suggestions. The result was I need a refugium in a separate tank. The next day I took a simple tub.....not rubbermaid but like it......over to Sams house and he drilled a hole and inserted a bulkhead. I have the rock and sand switched over and now just need to get the appropriate size pump. I tried using a maxiejet 1200 and it is pulling too much water.......the drain cannot keep up....so I'm gonna get something much smaller. As soon as I can find the camera I will take pictures of everything to show off the new build. Special Thank you to Sam for his willingness to help and take time out of his schedule!!!!!! BTW if you have not seen Sams tank and DIY builds........WOW!! Incredible!!!!
